This daily success plan includes one hour in each training zone – light, moderate, hard – with the rest of the day in active recovery, education, traveling to trail heads, having a few laughs and generally living full-time like an athlete in training.
The secret sauce of our weight loss camp is providing a high quality schedule that allows you enough time and energy to give other parts of your life the attention they need. We power pack your 8.30am to 2pm schedule with guides that never go too fast or too slow – and trainer-led fitness classes that are carefully assigned. The pinnacle experience at Whistler Fitness Vacations is the adventure that comes with two giant mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb, and endless ways to explore. Every day, you’ll be hiking or biking the valley or alpine trails with our friendly nature/fitness guides. This is between workout classes and customized training that may be assigned to you for that day.
Our staff-to-customer ratio is the best in the business, with semi-private groups carefully selected, based on everybody’s changing pace and comfort level. We keep a pretty good pace on the trails – always in your training zone.

Hiking & Trail Running
Discover the ancient glaciers and volcanic history of both the Whistler valley and alpine – while revisiting the iconic places made famous by the 2010 Olympic Games. Have lunch under the Olympic rings on Blackcomb Mountain, or snap a photo with the Inukshuk on the Top of The World at the Whistler peak (summer sessions only).
With multiple group levels and route plans carefully designed for each guest, you’ll feel safe (and confident) in your abilities. Whistler’s incredible valley links over 40 kms. of multi-use trails that wind between the stunning lakes, forests and rivers. Alpine hiking is scheduled for July and August guests looking to challenge themselves in the world famous Peak2Peak accessed terrain.
Take in the stunning landscape of Whistler’s valley while cruising along the 40km paved trails that link our best scenic spots. With the company of our experienced fitness retreat guides, you’ll love the customized routes that we put together for you, based on your fitness needs and biking experience.
Our fleet of Townie Cruiser bikes has big padded seats and high handlebars so that any guest over 5’2 can ride safely. Hiking and biking is part of the aerobic requirement needed for body transformation goals. Training targets are carefully assigned, and heart rate monitors are essential.
Fitness kayaking in one of the valleys most picturesque lakes is one of the best aerobic workouts of the week. With kayaks and life jackets to fit all sizes, even if you’ve never paddled, stable single boats and detailed instructions from our friends at Whistler Eco Tours will get you quickly confident.
With professionally qualified kayak instructors on hand to give you tips, kayaking is unguided by WFV team. There are two intentions/reasons for this: to either self-motivate your workouts and (or) to find the most beautiful place in the world to ‘talk and paddle’ with Cat Smiley! Haha we are serious, the setting is amazing. So whether you’re wrapping your stay, need insight on a challenge, or have ideas for next weeks schedule, this is your time. We aspire to have all guests finish their paddle with 100% happiness. Don’t need to chat? Join the others on interval sprints and perhaps even a race to the beach!
In this hands-on workshop, you are introduced to techniques and form that high-performance athletes use to improve their agility, coordination, power, strength and overall athleticism. Using medicine balls and fun training tools (such as parachutes, hurdles and ladders) you’ll unleash your inner superstar while experiencing the training system of an NHL player!

Learn To Run
If you’ve always wanted to get back into running but feel stuck in a fast walk, this workshop will be truly transformative. One of the most memorable workshops at our weight loss retreat, for those with knee or hip injuries, you’ll learn the adaptive form of gentle jogging that will elevate your heart rate without putting pain or discomfort on your joints.

Water Boot Camp
This high-intensity zero impact class uses barbells, buoyancy belts, and resistance fins for a truly amazing workout. We keep your head above water and your heart in the cardio zone throughout this outdoor class. The forgiving water environment lets you sprint, jump and do exercises that you never thought possible.

Our stretch classes are anything but boring! Learn the smart approach to stay flexible with our easy-to-follow routines. We’ll introduce you to the basics of strength training, showing you how to do a few simple exercises that you can do at home. Using just 6 feet of floor space, all movements are scaled to the current strength level of the participant. Learn how to push, dip, stabilize, bend and challenge your body. Simple moves that will tone and strengthen you faster than you can say boot camp. Embrace elements of basic training while strengthening your mind, body and spirit.
Challenge yourself through lunges, squats, kicks and exercises that will torch calories. This intensely addictive workout will take determination, grit and courage – but you’ll always come back for more!
